Marketing and Social Media Internship
Women in Islam journal is looking for an intern to help with marketing and social media.
About Women in Islam
Women in Islam explores the complexities of gender relations in Muslim communities in the Horn of Africa and beyond, engaging critically with conflicting perceptions of Islam in relation to women’s rights and equality.
Gathering an eclectic selection of essays, academic papers, opinion pieces, personal narratives, and poetry, the journal seeks to spark creative discussions about social, political and cultural challenges at the intersection of Islam and gender. It aims to promote alternative, progressive readings of Islamic traditions and texts on the topics of gender equality and justice.
Women in Islam is published annually in two editions, English and Arabic, by the Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA), a regional network of women’s rights groups and civil society organisations.
