Continuing the series of online events launching the 5th Issue of the Women in Islam Journal, this webinar features three speakers with expertise and experience working in the fields of women’s and human rights in Sudan. The discussion is focused on the signing and ratification of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), which has recently faced opposition and resistance in Sudan from different groups, on the grounds that CEDAW is contrary to Islam.
